1) Take a break
It's very important to give yourself a moment to step back and breath, The story is still going to be there, It's not going to jump up and runaway.
2) Get your mind off of things,
I find that watching a shows and movies can help get my mind off of things and when I come back to my story I have ideas brewing.
3) Exercise
Even just a walk around the block can help get the creative juices flowing, I find swimming a great way to help me.
4) Try a hobby.
Sometimes just doing something else can help with writers block, I have two hobbies right now such as looming and 5D painting. Doing such hobbies that doesn't need much thinking can help give your mind a chance to rest.
5) Play some games
Any game, console, pc, board game, or Dnd sometimes to refocusing on other things when you come back to a project, you'll find it a bit easier to write.
6)Taking a shower or bath
This may sound odd, but I know a few people that take showers or baths to gain ideas and it usually works well with them.
7) Act out scenes
Again another odd thing, but I know this author who said she will act our scenes in her book to help with writers block. She would use her daughter's dolls to play out scenes. I'm lucky enough to have a husband, that's willing to Role play scenes with me as the male lead to help me know how the guy would react.
8) Bounce off Ideas with friends and family
I have a best friend and husband to bounces ideas off of them, which is a huge help especially if you have a friend that's not gonna sugar coat things, but not gonna to be so cold towards your ideas
9) Rest
If you're up all night writing it could be your brain need to rest, Once fully rested the writers block should go away.
10) Rekindle what inspire you.
Sometimes when I have writers block rewatching a show that inspire me to write one of my many stories.
11) Work on other projects
I'm pretty sure you notice a theme here. But sometimes your head gets fill with ideas for other stories or projects that you can focus on the current work. Go ahead and write down those scenes or story until you feel ready to go back to your pervious project
12) rewrite your chapters.
This is a little bit confusing, So let me explain. I develop this new system where I will type up a chapter, then I will write it down in a notebook, After they I will type it again. I will do this one more time. I notice when I do that I add, or fix scenes and writers block don't come so often. It's a little extra work but I feel I improve on my writing and feel more close to my stories.
13) Eat
Of course you should eat or drink, but I know some authors who get so engross in their writing by the end of the day they realize they forgot to eat or drink. So have a snake while you're on break.
14) Socialize
This is for the extroverts. If you thrive in talking to people and you haven't while writing then your social battery is low. Now if you cannot go out and hang out with friends, there are ton of Discord chats that you can join and talk to people through there. Please be careful with giving out you information.
15) Work on your world building.
If you're creating a story that's in a different world, just world building can help with writers block. Just doing research how your lands are, laws, or even looking on Pinterest to find reference can help.
